Description Original print made in 1922-1923. These belong to the earliest Bonzo prints. First drawn by George Studdy and reproduced printed in ‘The Sketch Magazine’. Bonzo became a very popular cartoon character published in many countries. It led to various merchandise and even to stage and film productions. These plates originate from the first five ‘STUDDY DOG PORTFOLIO’S’, published by ‘The Sketch’. The Sketch was a British illustrated weekly journal which ran from 1893-1959. George Ernest Studdy (1878-1948) was a British commersial artist from Devonport. Medium: Rastered colour prints on a glossy wove type paper.
